Has Lamborghini Trademarked the Way Its Doors Open? | IP Conversations

Have you heard that Lamborghini has trademarked the way its doors open?

We are talking about the famous door-opening motion mark! Motion marks are relatively rare, but they exist. They are represented as a sequence of images in trademark applications.

Hope this IP conversation helps you figure out motion marks.

Hey IP Geek.

I heard from one of my friends that Lamborghini has trademarked how its doors open.

I didn’t even know that was possible!

You’re talking about the famous door-opening motion mark!

Motion marks are relatively rare, but they do exist.

They are represented as a sequence of images in  trademark applications, showing exactly how the motion takes place, from start to end.

Lamborghini got a motion mark for the upward opening motion of its doors.

Another example of a motion mark is the way Nokia Holding Hands Logo appears on your screen.

Wow! every day I hear about new types of Intellectual Property!

Thanks for letting me know about this, IP Geek.

Thank you for reading IP Conversations! We’d love to hear from you. 🙂
