Read this IP Conversation to find out!

Hey IP Geek.

I heard from one of my friends that a unique patent to calculate one’s life expectancy exists.

Is it so?

Yes, you’ve rightly heard about it John.

The subject of this 1991 patent allowed users to calculate their life expectancy with actuarial tables and individual health factors.

This actuarial table data is based on a number of factors, such as overall health of the individual, whether a person smokes cigarettes, consumes excessive alcohol etc.

Further, genetic factors such as family histories of known diseases are also considered while recording the expected lifespans.

This data was programmed into a watch that counts down the estimated years, months and minutes the user will likely live.

Wow! every day I hear about new types of Patents!

Thanks for letting me know about this, IP Geek.
